Executive director profile

I am a highly experienced and results-oriented development professional with over 20 years of progressive leadership in humanitarian and development programming across Uganda and South Sudan. Proven expertise in project planning, implementation, coordination, and supervision at field, middle, and senior management levels.

Demonstrated strong capacity in managing multi-donor funded programmes, including support from UNHCR, FCDO (DFID), European Union, DANIDA, Mastercard Foundation, NORAD, GIZ, UNDP, UNCDF, EAA, and ECHO. Skilled in delivering impactful interventions in youth livelihoods and economic empowerment, vocational skills development, education programming, women’s empowerment, and community-led learning initiatives.

Possesses solid experience in peacebuilding, protection, gender-based violence prevention, and social behavior change programming, with a strong focus on community engagement and system strengthening. Adept at building partnerships, enhancing organizational capacity, and ensuring effective programme delivery in both emergency and development contexts.

A strategic thinker with strong analytical, coordination, and leadership skills, committed to sustainable development and improving livelihoods for vulnerable populations.

Who We Are!

Common Concern For Humanity and Development (COHAD-Uganda) is a children and women centered indigenous not for profit, non-political, non-governmental organization founded by a group of former humanitarian workers in West Nile region since November 2017.

It is legally registered with Adjumani district Local government as Community Based Organisation (CBO), the national NGO Bureau as an indigenous organization and incorporated by the Uganda Registration Service Bureau.
